Quick Help & User Guides
1. How do I export or print my surgical drain log for my surgeon?
Open the Reports & Settings tab in the app, tap the "Export Clinical PDF Report" button, and choose whether you want your completed log or a blank printout template. You can print directly to an AirPrint / Wi-Fi printer, save to your Files, or email directly to your clinic.
2. How is drain removal readiness calculated?
Drain Log evaluates whether each individual drain's output is less than 30 mL over 24 hours for 2 consecutive completed days (excluding surgery day and current in-progress day). When removal criteria are met, a green milestone banner appears prompting you to call your surgical office.
3. What do the fluid colors mean?
Drain Log provides 6 clinical fluid classification options:
- Dark Red / Maroon (Sanguineous): Fresh post-op bloody fluid (common in initial 24–48 hours).
- Pink / Light Red (Serosanguineous): Typical healing fluid mix.
- Pale Yellow / Straw (Serous): Normal late-stage clear exudate.
- Yellow-Green / Cloudy (Purulent): Infection alert indicator — contact your surgeon immediately.
- Bile Green (Bilious): Bile alert indicator — contact your surgeon.
- Milky White (Chylous): Lymphatic fluid alert indicator — contact your surgeon.
4. How do I delete my data or reset my device?
Go to Reports & Settings and tap "Reset All Local Recovery Data". Because Drain Log stores all records exclusively on-device with zero remote cloud storage buckets, this immediately and permanently purges all logs.
5. How do I restore my Lifetime Pro purchase on a new device?
Open Reports & Settings and tap "Restore Purchases" in the Lifetime Access section. As long as you are signed into the same Apple ID or Google account, your Pro license will reactivate immediately.
