Drain Log ("we", "our", or "the App") is engineered from the ground up as a privacy-first, 100% on-device post-operative recovery logging application. We believe that your post-surgical recovery records, surgical drain measurements, fluid characteristics, and personal health details are deeply personal and belong exclusively to you.

We do not collect, sell, rent, monetize, broker, or transmit your protected health information (PHI). All surgical drain measurements and patient records remain stored exclusively on your physical hardware in sandboxed SQLite databases.

2. Collection of User Data — What We Do NOT Collect

Drain Log collects zero personal health information (PHI). When you use the app:

Jackson-Pratt (JP) Drain Volumes & Fluid Colors: Calculated and stored 100% on-device.
Patient Profile & Dates: Saved only in your physical device’s local sandbox.
Removal Readiness Evaluations: Computed entirely on-device using deterministic algorithms.

3. Zero Cloud Storage Buckets & Data Deletion

We operate ZERO remote cloud storage servers, databases, or S3 buckets for your medical logs. When you generate a clinical PDF report or export a .drainlog backup file:

The files are generated 100% on-device in temporary device memory.
No copies are uploaded or cached on remote web servers or external cloud storage.
Deleting Your Data: You can purge all surgical drain logs and patient records at any time via Reports & Settings → Reset All Local Recovery Data in the app, which instantly and permanently deletes all records from your device.

4. Zero Third-Party PHI Trackers & Ad SDKs

Drain Log contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or commercial behavioral trackers (e.g., no Google Analytics, no Meta pixels, no data brokers). We never track your behavior across apps or the web.

5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy & Transparency

We believe in full transparency regarding Artificial Intelligence:

AI in App Creation: AI developer assistance tools were utilized during software development to help human engineers write, refactor, and test application source code.
No AI Operating on Health Data: The application does NOT send your private health logs to third-party LLMs or generative AI models. All daily totals, rolling calculations, and drain removal criteria evaluations use deterministic mathematical algorithms.

6. Authenticity & Zero Fake Testimonials

We maintain a strict anti-deception policy. We do not publish fabricated user testimonials, fake doctor endorsements, or misleading claims.

7. In-App Purchases & Billing

Purchases of Drain Log Pro (Lifetime unlock) are processed securely by Apple App Store (In-App Purchases) and Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. We never receive or store your payment card numbers.
